Fibromyalgia..There is hope!

LIVING WITH FIBROMYALGIA CAN BE FRUSTRATING

As a sufferer of fibromyalgia, the lack of solid and proven treatment options can be extremely frustrating for you. The pain and fatigue caused by this chronic disease disrupts every part of your life, including your career, time with your family, and completion of daily tasks. Even sleep is a luxury and you’re always tired. This is no way to live, but with no cure currently available, what options do you have?

HOPE ON THE HORIZON

Well, there is positive news on the horizon. Many recent studies have shown that a variety of nutrients, vitamins and minerals have been successful in alleviating the symptoms of fibromyalgia. In fact, the specific combination of malic acid and magnesium has shown positive results amongst sufferers, who have benefited after administering these two ingredients over an extended period of time.

Previously, magnesium was thought to assist in the alleviation of the pain of fibromyalgia but this ingredient alone was unsuccessful. However, a clinical study that was published in The Journal of Nutritional Medicine focused on the effect of a combination of magnesium and malic acid through administering 300 to 600mg of magnesium and 1,200 to 2,400mg of malic acid to 15 volunteers suffering from this condition. The study was performed over four to eight weeks.Every single volunteer noted improvements in tender point pains, some as soon as 48 hours after their first administration of the combination.

Furthermore, Clinics in Family Practice published a review by Dr Victor Sierpine and Dr Ramona Carter where they stated that pain, tenderness and fatigue was reduced in patients with fibromyalgia after a twice-daily dose of 200mg of magnesium and a once-daily dose of 1,200mg of malic acid was administered to them.
